Discharged!

Milena has been discharged from the hospital and is doing decently well, medically speaking!
Milena has gained 6.4lbs in 9 days, and they are monitoring her weight gain and labs closely.

She is exclusively gtube fed and we are in process of switching from continuous feeds to bolus feeds. Her self aggression has almost completely disappeared, and her face is looking healthier and healthier every day.
Sleep is still her biggest struggle and she wakes many many times throughout the night.

Anyone have any recommendations for older kid diaper solutions? She soaks through everything as soon as she pees. We've tried diaper under pull up, pull ups doubled up, pull up under goodnights, diaper liners inside of all of the above to help with absorbency......nothing is containing her massive output.....ideas?

Her doctor said "she looks so healthy compared to just two weeks ago"
And look how clear and wound free her face is!!!!

We have 7 doctors appointment next week, pray for both of our sanity!

Grow Millie Grow!!

  3. Have you tried putting rubber pants over her pull ups? Also some pull ups are better than others. We also use a hospital pad under just like they have on the hospital beds. It may help when you switch from continuous feeds also. Good luck!

  6. There are youth sized diapers available through medical supply companies. We have them shipped to the house monthly for Silas & Andre. You can contact DME for a list of suppliers local to you. They may even be covered by insurance, ours are.
